At present, the commonly used classification method for refractory materials is chemical composition classification, which can be divided into refractory materials such as silica, aluminosilicate, magnesia, dolomite, and carbon composite.
silica refractory
Silicon refractory material is SiO. The main component, SiO ₂ refractory material, has a mass fraction of no less than 93% and can be shaped or shaped as a refractory material. Refractory materials have the advantages of high thermal conductivity, high softening point, and strong resistance to acid and slag corrosion, but their disadvantage is low thermal shock stability.
Aluminum silicate refractory material
Aluminum silicate refractory material is AI. ₂ O Å and SiO ₂ refractory materials are the main components. According to the different content of AI ₂ O Å in refractory materials, they can be divided into semi siliceous (15%~30% mass fraction), clay (30%~48% mass fraction), and high alumina (>48% mass fraction) refractory materials.
Magnesium refractory material
Magnesium refractory material is a type of refractory material mainly made of periclase, with a MgO mass fraction exceeding 80%. Under the influence of the composition of magnesium raw materials, the main components of magnesium refractory materials are MgO, FeO, Fe ₂ O Å, AI ₂ O Å, SiO ₂, CaO, Cr ₂ O Å. The melting point of MgO is as high as 2800 ℃, and the fire resistance of magnesium refractory materials reaches 2000 ℃. Therefore, magnesium refractory materials have good high-temperature resistance.
Dolomite refractory material
Dolomite refractory material is an alkaline refractory material with dolomite as the main raw material and MgO and CaO as the main components. The mass fraction of CaO is 40%~60%, and the mass fraction of magnesium oxide is 30%~40%.
Carbon composite refractory material
Carbon composite refractory material, also known as carbon containing refractory material, is a refractory oxide with two or more different properties.
