The new dry process cement kiln has the process characteristics of high kiln temperature, fast kiln speed, severe alkali erosion, complex structure, and high energy-saving requirements, which promotes the comprehensive update of refractory materials and their usage technologies serving it. Generally speaking, in the kiln barrels of large SP and PC kilns, magnesia chrome bricks are directly combined for the firing zone, spinel bricks or magnesia chrome bricks that are easy to hang on the kiln skin and have good thermal shock resistance are used for the transition zone, high alumina bricks are used for the decomposition zone, heat-insulating alkali resistant clay bricks or ordinary clay bricks are used for the rear of the kiln barrel, and refractory castables or suitable refractory bricks are used for the front and rear kiln mouths.
In the preheater system, ordinary alkali resistant clay bricks and alkali resistant castables are used for the arch crown, high-strength alkali resistant clay bricks are used for the tertiary air duct, and a large amount of refractory castables are used. A series of insulation bricks and calcium silicate boards are used in the kiln door cover and cooling machine system. In addition to the materials used in the above parts, more than 30 types of refractory materials are also used in 7 categories, including silicon carbide bricks and silicon carbide composite bricks, series insulation bricks, series refractory castables, series calcium silicate boards, and refractory fiber materials.
